Trinity College London

Trinity College London offers a range of other accreditations for children and young people making music. These can be delivered alongside Arts Award, creating a flexible progression route.

Graded Exams

Trinity’s graded exams in classical and jazz music develop learners’ skills from Initial/pre-Grade 1 all the way through to Grade 8 (with UCAS points available at Grades 6-8). The exams provide a structured yet flexible framework for progress, which enables a learner to demonstrate their own musical personality and promotes enjoyment in music performance.

Rock and Pop

Trinity’s Rock & Pop graded music exams for bass, drums, guitar, keyboards and vocals reflect the way musicians want to learn. Learners can perform songs they know and love to showcase their own unique musical style and skills, and can gain a valuable qualification that’s recognised and respected around the world.

Certificate for Music Educators

Those looking to progress from musical leadership into teaching may be interested in working towards the Certificate for Music Educators (CME). The CME develops music practitioners’ pedagogical knowledge and reflective practice, and covers the topics of safeguarding and equality, diversity and inclusion.
